Dick and Lynne Cheney Study-Abroad Grants
This opportunity is accepting applications for study/intern/research/service abroad programs that will be in January and Spring 2026. Funds shall be used to support expenses associated with study/intern/research/service abroad (tuition, fees, international and in-country transportation, room, board, health/safety insurance, books, materials, etc.) for University of Wyoming students who seek to enhance their education with their selected program.
Criteria of Eligibility:
1. UW student at time of study/intern/research/service abroad program
2. Degree seeking during proposed study/intern/research/service abroad period
Recipients of scholarships shall be selected by the Scholarship Committee of the Education Abroad Office. Applicants will only be selected for accept one scholarship from the Education Abroad Office for the same program abroad.
Individual students are eligible to receive a total of two scholarships from the Education Abroad Office during a single degree program (undergraduate or graduate) at UW.

Students will be selected based on the following criteria:
1. Eligibility as stated above (student will not be rated on a rubric unless eligible)
2. Financial need
3. Strength of application
4. Academic Preparedness

If you are a graduate student, provide a brief abstract or summary of your research instead and the relevance of this Education Abroad opportunity to your graduate course of study.
