Multicultural Affairs Pride Scholarship
Applicants must plan to attend UW as a full-time student (12 or more credit hours).
Applicants must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or have obtained DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) status.
Applicants must be an entering freshman or an entering undergraduate transfer student. Previous recipients of the Multicultural Pride Scholarship (MCPS) may apply for renewal.
Applicants must have a high school or college GPA of 2.50 or higher. Applicants must have submitted admission application materials to UW.
Recipients are encouraged to become involved with Multicultural Affairs by attending programming and seeking out leadership opportunities. Applicants for continuing awards must have demonstrated clear evidence of involvement in Multicultural Affairs and/or other student involvement activities on campus.
Selection will be based on: demonstrated leadership, commitment to, involvement in and awareness of issues surrounding diversity and inclusion; participation in extra-curricular and community-related activities; personal statement; and scholastic ability and achievement. Past recipients of the Multicultural Pride Scholarship must have been active participants in Multicultural Affairs activities and events which demonstrates their contribution back to diverse communities and assists with their renewal application.
