Marion Yule Memorial Scholarship

Applicants to include students majoring in Family & Consumer Science, since Home Economics Education is no longer offered. According to a letter from Dr. Liebman, this scholarship is “for students, either undergraduate or graduate, majoring in any of the program areas within Family and Consumer Sciences who have displayed outstanding leadership in departmental student organizations while maintaining a grade point average of at least 3.0”.

  • Ms. Marion Yule taught courses at UW in the 1950s and 60s when our department was called Home Economics. Known as Miss Yule, she was in charge of the teacher education program. This scholarship, in her honor, is for at least one student, either undergraduate or graduate, majoring in any of the program areas within Family and Consumer Sciences who has displayed outstanding leadership in departmental activities and/or student organizations while maintaining a grade point average of at least 3.0.
