G A "Jim" and Marian Berger Graduate Scholarship

This fund shall be used to make scholarship grants to students enrolled in the College of Agriculture at the University of Wyoming. To be eligible for this scholarship award an applicant must also: be enrolled as a graduate student; have received their undergraduate degree in agriculture or an agricultural related discipline; focus their graduate studies on production agriculture as it relates to natural resource management. Examples include, but are not limited to, production agriculture or agricultural economics as it relates to utilization of open spaces, range management issues, impact of grazing on range habitat, or similar topics.

*First preference shall be given to Wyoming residents. In choosing the recipient’s) of this scholarship, the primary consideration is the recipient’s desire to integrate natural resource management into their agricultural practices. Grade point average is a secondary consideration.

This scholarship is renewable and may be granted to the same student for successive semesters as long as he/she remains in good academic standing and is making satisfactory progress towards a degree. If in a given year there are no qualified Wyoming applicants, then the award may be given to any graduate student meeting the criteria outlined above.
