Carolyn Bennett Miknis 1959 Nursing Scholarship

This fund shall be used to make scholarship grants to students in their senior or junior year of the Basic Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at the Fay W. Whitney School of Nursing at UW. To be eligible for this scholarship award an applicant must be a Wyoming resident, have a minimum GPA of 3.25 or higher (on a 4.0 scale) and demonstrate financial need as determined by the FAFSA.

Applicants must also write a 1-2 paragraph essay that explains why they chose to pursue nursing and how they envision using their degree in addition to describing their passion in dealing with patients and respect for patient dignity, their ability to understand their needs and their ability to communicate clearly.
