Women in Engineering President’s Endowed Scholarship

Renee M. Schoenborn was born in La Mirada, California, but she graduated from the University of Wyoming in 1985 with her bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. During her time here, Ms. Schoenborn was the president of the Tau Beta Pi Wyoming Alpha Chapter. After graduating, she had a long and successful career working on a variety of big engineering projects in various locations around the world, including but not limited to, Russia, Japan, and Canada. While working in the field, she was involved in every stage of her projects, from design to construction. Schoenborn values effective leadership, strong work ethic, and effective communication skills and stresses the importance of these values to students pursuing engineering. She is passionate about the University of Wyoming and hopes to support upcoming generations of women in engineering at this institution.
