Warren Lauer Scholarship Fund
Lauer, a longtime Laramie attorney, received his law degree from UW in 1980, after earning a bachelor’s degree in animal science in 1976. He served as president of the Wyoming State Bar in 2005-06.
A life member of the UW Alumni Association, Lauer also served on the UW College of Law Alumni Board and the College of Law Board of Visitors, and was a member of the Cowboy Joe Club.
Lauer was appointed to the Board of Trustees in 2005 by then-Gov. Dave Freudenthal and was reappointed in 2011 by Gov. Matt Mead. His tenure on the board included service as secretary in 2008-12 and treasurer in 2007-08.
Lauer’s community service included membership in the Laramie Rotary Club, the Albany County Stock Growers Association, the Laramie Regional Airport Board, the Albany County Planning and Zoning Commission, and the Laramie Zoning Board of Adjustment.
