The Tomé Scholars to Fellows Program
Carol and Ramon Tomé are University of Wyoming alumni. Carol earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from UW 1979. Ramon earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from UW in 1984. The couple currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia and Carol currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of UPS. She was named the 12th CEO in the company’s 113-year history in 2020. She is a member of The Committee of 200, an invitation-only member organization of the world’s most successful women entrepreneurs and corporate leaders. Among her many recognitions, Carol was the recipient of the UW Distinguished Alumni Award in 2011. Ramon served as an Environmental Specialist for the Georgia Department of Natural Resources Air Protection Branch. Prior to that role, he worked as an environmental specialist for the department. Carol’s late parents, Felix and Marion Buchenroth were also UW alumni. Felix is a past president of the UW Alumni Association and Marion earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Science from UW in 1953. Carol and Ramon have been married for over 30 years.Impact
