Brigadier General Robert “Bob” Reed Scott establishes this fund in conjunction with the support of and in memory of his late wife, Terry Lou Ratliff Scott. Terry and Bob were married in 1969 in the Base Chapel on FE. Warren Air Force Base where Bob was the Senior Commander and Terry became the First Lady supporting his command missions on all subsequent assignments. Upon Bob’s retirement from the Air Force, Terry received a “Certificate of Appreciation for her faithful, devoted and unfailing support of her husband’s missions.” Terry fought a courageous and long battle against cancer before passing away in 2018. Bob was not born in Wyoming, nor did he attend UW; however, he proclaims adopting Wyoming as his home and is advocate and supporter of the University of Wyoming. Bob had a distinguished military career and became Brigadier General in the United States Air Force. He served as a pilot in World War II, Commander of the 90th Missile Wing and the Senior Commander of F.E. Warren Air Force Base, Commander of the 17th Air Division, and activated the 4th Strategic Missile Division as the Headquarters for all six Minuteman ICBM Missile Wings and bases and 1000 Minuteman Missiles. In establishing this FUND, Bob and Terry express gratitude for the family support and education they received, and hope to provide assistance to future students pursing their education.
