ROSALIE FIELDS

ROSALIE FIELDS

Raised in Hat Creek and Lusk, Wyoming, Rosalie Fields started her college education at the University of Wyoming prior to transferring to Colorado to go to nursing school. After graduation, Rosalie had a full career practicing nursing in Wyoming, Michigan, Louisiana, Alaska, California, and Hawaii, where she currently resides. At the encouragement of a fellow Wyoming native, UW alum, and Hawaii resident Emma Jean Mader (B.S. ’55, education), the Rosalie Fields Nursing Scholarship was created in 2015 to honor Rosalie’s rich career in the field and to support nursing students who graduated high school in Wyoming with preference for those students who are from Niobrara County. Rosalie passed away August 25, 2017.
