Roger Willmot Memorial Fund for New Faculty "Roger's Fund"

Roger R. Wilmot served the University of Wyoming (UW) in a number of capacities, but it was his role as the Associate Vice President for Research and Economic Development, a position he held for more than three decades, where he had his greatest impact on UW. During those years, Roger interacted with practically all faculty members on the campus involved in research, helping them obtain funds from external sources including federal agencies, state agencies, industry and certain foundations. He helped solve problems encountered by those faculty members daily. For that reason, Roger became one of the most respected administrators on the campus and held that position for his entire career. Even though Roger helped all faculty without any thought of rank or department, it was his greatest pleasure to help new faculty members launch their research careers. Roger passed away on January 13, 2020. This fund memorializes Roger and his desire to help new faculty.
