Rodney E. Reel Memorial Scholarship
Rodney Reel was a gifted mechanic who grew up on a modest homestead near Rozet, Wyoming. He never would have attended college, let alone get an Engineering degree, if it weren’t for the GI Bill and working on airplane engines during WWII. His University of Wyoming engineering degree opened doors to a career in aerospace and data systems that would not have been possible otherwise. His desire to create this scholarship stems from wanting to help similar students who, without a GI Bill or family means, might be able to do the same and change their lives, and the lives of others, in a big way; to “pay it forward” so to speak, to new generations. We hope you will approach this scholarship in the spirit of his desire to make this world a better place.
