Pat and Stan Lowe Memorial Scholarship
The Liber Stiftung is a small charitable educational foundation established to promote educational opportunities, from scholarships to fellowships in mathematics for women wishing to re-enter academia after maternity or after caring for elderly relatives, to schools for girls in Afghanistan, to support for apprenticeships for refugees. Our means are limited, but we aim for impact in overlooked areas of education.
Impact
Pat and Stan Lowe were incredibly generous residents of both Rawlins and Casper, Wyoming. They offered hospitality to students from all over the world in their home and treated them as their own two lovely children, Rob and Meganne. They should be remembered through this scholarship as the wonderful and much missed lovely people, who they were.
Pat was a native of Boston and a geologist, Stan was a native of Nebraska, a lawyer with important roles in the American Bar Association and the American Judicature Society. They met in Wyoming. Stan had proudly served during World War II with the Merchant Navy.
