James L. Huemoeller Book Fund
James L. Huemoeller was born Feb. 11, 1951, in Fairmont, Minn., to Donald “Barney” and Betty Huemoeller. He was a graduate of Truman High School in 1969. Following productive stints at Emory University and St. Cloud State, he worked in Jackson Hole, where he met his wife, Kay Huemoeller, whom he married in Grand Teton National Park on July 24, 1976.
James finally graduated from George Washington University in 1974 and received his law degree from the University of Wyoming in 1979, where he has been a proud supporter of the Cowboy Joe Club since. James was an honest and hardworking lawyer in both Wyoming and Colorado. He worked for several local and national firms over the years, most recently at Riley, Carlock and Applewhite, retiring in 2009.
More importantly, he was a dedicated husband, father, brother and friend. Nothing will be missed more by his family than those days he dragged them to bluegrass concerts in the pouring rain, the galleries of Santa Fe, or whatever college football game happened to be playing.
