Ernest and Helen Hilton Scholarship Fund

Recipients should be residents of the State of Wyoming enrolled in the College of Education who (i) intend to teach and are pursuing a curriculum appropriate to prepare them to teach (including incoming freshmen who state their intention to follow such a curriculum); (ii) work part-time to meet a substantial portion of their college expenses; (iii) exhibit, in the opinion of the Scholarship Committee of the College of Education (the “Scholarship Committee”), the need for financial assistance in order to attend college; and (iv) have achieved, and continue to achieve, in the opinion of the Scholarship Committee, academic excellence. As long as the recipient continues to meet these requirements, he or she shall continue to receive the scholarship for up to four academic years; provided, however, that no award to any one student for any one year shall exceed an amount equal to one-half (1/2) of the sum of the cost of the following, each case for such year: (i) full tuition and fees for such student to attend the College of Education, and (ii) room and board in university dormitory housing.
