Scholarship support for ornithology research conducted by University of Wyoming faculty, staff, or students. Specific research areas to be supported by the Margaret and Sam Kelly Ornithology Research Fund include (1) ornithology, specifically the study of hummingbirds, waterfowl, and sage grouse, and their habitats, and (2) wildlife diseases that affect wild bird populations, particularly but not exclusively West Nile virus.

This scholarship is awarded to outstanding graduate or undergraduate students studying hummingbirds, waterfowl, or sage grouse and their habitats, as well as wildlife diseases that affect wild bird populations.

  1. This scholarship is awarded to outstanding graduate or undergraduate students studying hummingbirds, waterfowl, or sage grouse and their habitats, as well as wildlife diseases that affect wild bird populations.

    (a) 2-page NSF GRFP-style research proposal that clearly conveys how the proposed work relates to the goals of the scholarship, your approach to completing the project, and a budget section with an itemized list of proposed expenditures and justification.
