ASUW Service Learning Scholarship

Funds shall be used to provide financial support to students participating in service learning exchanges that foster a passion for volunteerism, promote leadership development and help to create well rounded students at the University of Wyoming. The recipients must have a minimum cumulative University of Wyoming GPA of 2.0 on the 4.0 scale.

In addition, the recipients shall be judged, in part, by the content of their application. The committee outlined in paragraph two shall review all applications and select the recipients. The selection committee shall define its annual application processes and forms to ensure that applicants address their goals, scope, and contributions of their service projects to the overall university community. Lastly, the committee shall clearly define any obligations of the recipients upon receipt of the scholarships.

Recipients of scholarship shall be selected by the Scholarship Committee comprised of the ASUW President (or designee), an ASUW adviser, an ASUW executive, the campus administrator responsible for the service learning, and two (2) ASUW senators appointed by the ASUW Vice President. The Committee shall have the authority to take any additional actions necessary to fully evaluate the applicants.
