Y Cross Ranch Two Year Scholarship

This fund shall be used to support student scholarships and/or internships for the purpose of studying agriculture or a closely related field such as natural resources, animal sciences and veterinary medicine; and support for observation and study at the Y Cross Ranch by faculty, staff, students and other invited researchers and observers. Permissible uses for the fund may be used for, but not limited to, a student-operated farm, practical internships on farms and ranches, travel to see best practices in operation, such as proper grazing in different settings. Additionally the fund may support graduate students in the form of scholarships and stipends for graduate assistants to conduct applied research in the field on real-world issues faced in ranching, farming and natural resource management.

Undergraduate students who are awarded this scholarship will be required to maintain a 3.0 Cumulative GPA in order to keep their scholarship. Recipients who fail to maintain their GPA will chance losing this scholarship. Students who fail to meet the GPA requirement will be given one semester to bring their GPA back up to a 3.0.
