Wyoming Pork Producers Scholarship

This fund shall be used to make scholarship grants to students enrolled at the University of Wyoming.
In selecting recipients, preference shall be given as follows: first preference shall be given to Wyoming Pork Producer members, their children or other dependents (these awards are not restricted to students enrolled in the College of Agriculture); if in any given year, no Wyoming Pork Producer members, their children or dependents apply, then the fund shall be used to make scholarship awards to students enrolled in the College of Agriculture at the University of Wyoming who
1) demonstrate a strong background in pork production or with the pork industry (examples include but are not limited to having raised or shown hogs for multiple years in 4-H, FFA, or similar organizations, students whose families are associated with the pork production industry by their family being a producer, their parents or the student is or has been employed in a pork production facility, the student or student’s family provides transportation, feed, or other auxiliary services to the pork industry, the student or student’s families work for a state, regional, or national pork industry organization, or a student whose career goals are directly associated with the pork production industry) and
2) have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher.

Recipients of scholarships shall be selected by the Scholarship Committee of the College of Agriculture as appointed by the Dean thereof.
