  2. Please provide the Name and E-mail address of a current or former administrator so they may provide a letter of recommendation on your behalf.
  3. Describe your professional experience and identify future plans. (150 word limit)
  4. Essay Requirements: Applicants must submit a 2-3 page essay response to ONE of the following.
    • Read and respond to the chapter, “Misconceptions and Conceptual Change: An Introduction” excerpted from the book Targeting Physical Misconception using the Conceptual Change Model authored by Joseph Stepans in 2011. (Available from Deborah Martinez, DebM@uwyo.edu, in the College of Education’s dean’s of Office)
    • Conduct and discuss the results of interviews with a minimum of three of the applicant’s current students. The interviews should determine the applicant’s students’ conceptions/misconceptions about a topic of the applicant’s choice. Suggestions for the interview process are provided in the article, “Finding Out Students’ Entry Levels and Preconceptions Through Structured Interviews” excerpted from the book Targeting Physical Science Misconceptions using the Conceptual Change Model authored by Joseph Stepans in 2011.     • Provide a description of the processes, successes, and difficulties the applicant has experienced in prior work with students using the conceptual change model.
