Tillman E and Lucille W Boyd Scholarship

To enable students in the University Honors Program to take advantage of special academic opportunities, the Honors Program will award a limited number of scholarships for use in fall, spring, summer, or the academic year.

These scholarships are designed to enable students to participate in research and educational opportunities, including study abroad, special summer courses at other institutions, student exchanges, and other programs which contribute significantly to a student’s intellectual development beyond regular and required UW coursework. Because these are scholarships, the activity proposed must earn academic credit toward your degree.

This is a one-time non-renewable Honors College scholarship. You may reapply for Honors scholarships for any year in which you are still an undergraduate, but there are no automatic renewals

To be eligible, a student must be a participant in the University Honors Program in good standing, and the activity must produce academic credits. Awards are based on merit and need; students who have not previously received a Boyd Scholarship will be given preference.
